Hello everyone!! I know it's been a while since my last post but things have really begun to pick up here!! I have been taking on a lot more classes!! Also, I have been substituting preschool aged kids in the morning. I think I like the preschool kids the best because they are so much fun!! Every time I go into class, all the kids ask why my hair is curly and blond and why my eyes are blue. At first, I would try to explain that foreigners are like this, but then I realized the potential to make this explanation much more interesting!! So, one day, when I went back into this class, I told the kids I was from the moon!! At first, they were a little skeptical, but after a little while, I had them all convinced I was actually from the moon!! There was a minor set back when they said that aliens are green, but I explained that those aliens were from Jupiter. With this same class, we went on a field trip to a farm where the kids got to see and play with some vegetables.
Aside from classes, I went to one of the beaches near by the city with a friend. The day we went was cloudy and cooler, which is fine because normal it's really hot. I found some neat shells too!! Also, a bunch of other teachers and I went one a rafting trip on the other side of the island!! We had so much fun!! It was my first time rafting and I had a great time!! I had to act as translator for the group because my chinese was the best, and also because the taiwanese friend that was with us didn't want to do it, haha!! The rafting trip was in Hualian, on the east side of Taiwan. We took a train to get there on saturday the 9th, went sight-seeing, stayed the night, and went rafting on the 10th on October. Train tickets were too difficult to get on the way back, so we all took a bus back to Taipei. Recently, I did a commercial for this big up and coming event called the Tapei Flora Expo!! It was lots of fun!! I met some really funny people and also I got to meet the most famous super model in all of Taiwan!! Her name is Lin Chi-Ling (i think that's how you spell it). So I guess I could say that I'm a part time model now, haha!! Hope everyone is doing well at home!!
